Non-Surgical Procedures

Non-surgical treatments, or minimally invasive cosmetic procedures, are used to reduce the appearance of facial lines, remove unwanted hair, and even out skin pigmentation. We offer some of the most popular treatments, including Botox, injectable fillers, and chemical peels.

CO2 Laser Skin Renewal

Whether you are looking to refresh your look or appear years younger...there are a lot of reasons why you should consider micro ablative skin rejuvenation.

What is SmartSkin CO2 LaserSkinRenewal?

The SmartSkin CO2 LaserSkinRenewal Workstation delivers many micro columns of laser energy to your skin. Each micro column receives just the right amount of laser energy to vaporize the aged skin while also stimulating new collagen growth of surrounding tissue. It is more than skin resurfacing, it's deep skin rejuvenation.

Q&A

What is the procedure for being treated with the SmartSkin CO2 laser?

You and your doctor will carefully determine the treatment based on cosmetic and downtime expectations. You may be treated more gently over two, three or four sessions spaced four to eight weeks apart with minimal downtime. Or if you're looking for dramatic results with just one deep treatment you may decide you can afford a longer downtime.

Is the procedure painful?

Topical anesthetic makes the procedure virtually painless. Afterwards, your experience will depend on the treatment parameters agreed on between you and your doctor. Your skin will feel hot like a sunburn. You may have redness, itchiness and dryness after the procedure while your new skin resurfaces. The entire face can be treated in as little as 15-30 minutes with results lasting years given proper skin care and protection.

What is the recovery time?

Since SmartSkin CO2 is micro-ablative, recover time is significantly shorter than fully ablative technology. Within the first few days of treatment you may experience some redness and swelling with minimal pain. Each micro channel of ablation will quickly heal, and you will be able to apply makeup on the treated surface and return to your normal lifestyle within as little as 1-2 days. If you and your doctor choose a more aggressive treatment for more significant results, you may experience a downtime of 3-5 days.

What kind of results are possible?

Immediately after the treatment, your body naturally starts working by replacing aged skin cells with new ones. Shortly after the procedure you will notice your skin is visibly smoother, healthier and younger looking. And the best thing is that the results will continue to improve over time as your collagen remodels.

Botox® Cosmetic

Botox Cosmetic is a popular injection that temporarily reduces or eliminates frown lines, forehead creases, crows feet near the eyes and thick bands in the neck giving the skin a smoother, more refreshed appearance.

Chemical Peel

Chemical peels use a chemical solution to remove damaged outer skin layers, improving the texture of the facial skin. It is helpful if you have facial blemishes, wrinkles and uneven skin pigmentation.

Dermabrasion

Dermabrasion can refinish the top skin layers with precise surgical scraping. The treatments soften the sharp edges of surface irregularities, giving the skin a smoother appearance.

Injectable Fillers

Soft-tissue fillers can help fill in lines and creases, temporarily restoring a smoother, more youthful-looking appearance. When injected beneath the skin, these fillers plump up creased and sunken areas of the face.

Juvederm®

Juvederm is a dermal filler designed to restore volume to your skin. We use it to correct nasolabial folds and other age-related imperfections. In Westchester, Dr. Lambert can use Juvederm to temporarily correct wrinkles and give you a more youthful appearance.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is an exfoliation technique that helps repair facial skin. Using a device like a fine sandblaster, the physician sprays tiny crystals across the skin, mixing gentle abrasion with suction to remove the dull outer skin cells.

Radiesse®

We use Radiesse® to reverse these effects, correcting wrinkles, restoring facial volume and stimulating the production of more collagen in your skin.

Retin-A

Retin-A®, a vitamin A-enriched cream that changes the cellular metabolism of the skin's surface to treat fine facial wrinkles and blotches caused by sun damage. It can be used alone, or may be prescribed in conjunction with an aesthetic surgery procedure, such as a facelift or a chemical peel.
